Customizable Tick Size for Volume Profile Rows

Currently, ATAS allows customizing “Prices per row (ticks)” only within the TPO study. The standalone Volume Profile indicator does not provide this option — each row is fixed at 1 tick per price level.

What I’m trying to achieve:

  • The ability to aggregate several ticks into one row in the Volume Profile indicator (without using TPO).

  • For example, instead of seeing a histogram bar for every 1 tick (e.g., 0.25 points on ES), I’d like to set the profile to group by 4 ticks (1 full point) or 10 ticks (2.5 points).

  • This would make the profile much more flexible:

    • Reduce noise in illiquid markets

    • Highlight significant value areas more clearly

    • Match common setups used in other platforms (Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, TradingView all support adjustable tick aggregation in their volume profiles).

Why this matters:

  • Traders often want to compare fine-grained profiles (1 tick rows) with aggregated profiles (4 or 10 tick rows).

  • This feature would also allow delta values to be aggregated over larger price intervals, giving a much clearer picture of buying/selling pressure at significant zones.

  • Without this option, ATAS Volume Profile is less customizable than competing platforms.

  • Adding a simple “Prices per row (ticks)” input to the Volume Profile indicator would greatly enhance usability without changing the core logic.

Add the option to change tick size per row for every tool instead of scaling for every tool

For each tools it should have the option to change tick size per row. Scaling option is boring, am not saying it is bad. Don't remove that option. But give the independent scaling option for every tools also. Because I want the delta profile of NQ at 12 tick size. When I do that volume profile also changes. It reduces the accuracy. If you guys give the option to change tick size per row for every tool it will be helpful. So I can make the volume profile at 1 and delta profile at 12. Please add this

    Tick Grouping

    Hello ATAS team,

I'd like to suggest adding tick grouping (tick aggregation) to Volume Profile and other indicators, instead of limiting it to the global Chart Tick Scale setting.

Currently, Tick Scale affects the entire chart, but in many cases it would be much more useful to set the aggregation independently for each indicator.

For example, in Volume Profile, it would be great to have a parameter like of tick grouping

This would allow traders to aggregate price levels inside the indicator while keeping the chart itself at the original tick resolution. The same functionality would also be useful for other price-level-based indicators.

Having per-indicator tick grouping would provide much greater flexibility for order flow analysis and market profile without affecting the rest of the workspace.

I believe this feature would be valuable for many professional users.

Thank you for considering this suggestion!

Add the rolling 30minute option for delta profile and customizable tick size per row for every tools

Please give the option for rolling 30minutes for delta profile. Now it is not rolling. The delta profile rebuilts after every 30minutes. Potentially missing more information.

Also give the option for customize the tick size per row for Volume Profile,Delta profile Seperate. Now it is only scaling. If i scale it , every tools will change. I only want some of the tools to be scaled. Please give the option for individual cuztomizable option for changing tick size per row.Competitors have all these features, deepcharts , motivewave, sierra charts. Please provide these two features also.

Independent Tick Size Settings for Current and Historical Market Profiles

    Hello ATAS Team,

I would like to suggest an improvement for the Market Profile indicator.

Currently, the tick size used in the chart also affects the tick size calculation of Market Profiles (Previous Day, Previous Week, etc.). This creates a limitation when analyzing different profile periods.

    Example 1 – Nasdaq (NQ)

    I often use:

    • Chart Tick Size: 3

    • Previous Day Market Profile: 1

However, if I change the chart tick size to 3, the Previous Day Market Profile is also recalculated using tick size 3, which changes the Value Area, POC, and profile structure.

What I would like is the ability to define a separate tick size directly inside each Market Profile indicator.

    For example:

    • Chart Tick Size = 3

    • Previous Day Profile Tick Size = 1

    • Previous Week Profile Tick Size = 2

    Example 2 – Bitcoin (BTC)

    I often use:

    • Daily Profile Tick Size = 50

    • Previous Week Profile Tick Size = 100

At the moment, changing the chart tick size affects both profiles. I would like each profile to have its own independent tick size setting.

    Suggested Feature

Add an option inside the Market Profile indicator:

    Profile Tick Size Mode

    • Use Chart Tick Size (current behavior)

    • Custom Tick Size

If "Custom Tick Size" is selected, the user can manually define the desired aggregation value for that specific profile.

    Benefits

    • More flexibility for professional Market Profile users.

    • Better multi-timeframe profile analysis.

    • Ability to compare daily and weekly profiles using different aggregations.

    • Eliminates the need to constantly change chart settings when working with multiple profiles.

Thank you for considering this suggestion.🤝

Up to this please. The price scaling will messed up your SL and TP. It would be better if you can just directly adjust the tools per row. I keep opening my ninjatrader because nt had this. Right now I am thinking of moving on to deepcharts instead of continuing my subscription in atas.
