An Opportunity to choose "autosave" the current workspace(for example after 10 minutes), so all changes are saved before bugs force you to restart the software and all analysis is gone.
Autosaving for workspace is not the best idea for this sofware at the moment because saving workspace is slow procedure (because of unknown reason). For example, it takes about 8 seconds to save my workspace and whole app is freezing while saving is in progress.
It will be terrible if the app freezes every 5-10 minutes :)
So, shortcut looks like quick compromise solution.

I see what you are saying and this was suggested before on their old feedback system, but they did not port it over here and I experience the same issue with losing data all the time.
That said i recommend this user story:
User Story: Auto-Save and Revision Control Enhancement
As a user, I want a more robust auto-save and revision control system in ATAS to ensure that none of my analysis or changes are lost due to software issues or crashes.
Description:
1. Instant Persistence: Instead of relying on timed auto-saves, I propose that ATAS should offer instant and continuous persistence. I do not want to risk losing even 10 minutes as suggested here' worth of work due to unforeseen issues. The software should instantly save any changes made to the workspace as they occur.
2. Revision Control: Implement a revision control system similar to what's commonly found in word processing software and programming applications. This would maintain a history of changes, allowing users to revert to previous versions of their workspace if needed. This way, nothing is permanently lost, and users have the freedom to go back to any point in their analysis.
3. Sync with ATAS Cloud: To enhance data security and accessibility, the auto-save and revision control system should sync with the user's ATAS Cloud account. This would ensure that a copy of their workspace is stored both locally and on the cloud. In case of any local issues, users can always retrieve their analysis and changes from the cloud.
This enhancement not only prevents data loss but also aligns with the desire for a more comprehensive group object list/tree feature, providing a more reliable and user-friendly experience with ATAS.
