Customizable Tick Size for Volume Profile Rows

Currently, ATAS allows customizing “Prices per row (ticks)” only within the TPO study. The standalone Volume Profile indicator does not provide this option — each row is fixed at 1 tick per price level.

What I’m trying to achieve:

• The ability to aggregate several ticks into one row in the Volume Profile indicator (without using TPO).

• For example, instead of seeing a histogram bar for every 1 tick (e.g., 0.25 points on ES), I’d like to set the profile to group by 4 ticks (1 full point) or 10 ticks (2.5 points).

• This would make the profile much more flexible:

  • Reduce noise in illiquid markets

  • Highlight significant value areas more clearly

  • Match common setups used in other platforms (Sierra Chart, NinjaTrader, TradingView all support adjustable tick aggregation in their volume profiles).

Why this matters:

• Traders often want to compare fine-grained profiles (1 tick rows) with aggregated profiles (4 or 10 tick rows).

• This feature would also allow delta values to be aggregated over larger price intervals, giving a much clearer picture of buying/selling pressure at significant zones.

• Without this option, ATAS Volume Profile is less customizable than competing platforms.

• Adding a simple “Prices per row (ticks)” input to the Volume Profile indicator would greatly enhance usability without changing the core logic.
