Jigsaw has Volume Stops on their live trading platform, and I believe something similar would be a game-changer for my trading with ATAS.
Here’s what it’s about: with a Volume Stop, you set a volume level threshold alongside a price. For example, if I set a buy volume stop at price XX.XX with a volume level of 100, the order would only trigger if the inside offer volume on the book at XX.XX drops below 100. If the volume stays above that level, no order gets triggered.
Basically, it’s designed to get me into a long position (in this case) just before the price ticks up from XX.XX to XX.XX+1, catching the move as liquidity thins out. I think this would be super helpful for precision entries and avoiding fakeouts.
I use ATAS exclusively for my trading, especially for DOM tools, and I’m really hoping to see the platform keep evolving with features like this. Have you guys considered implementing something similar? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
