Add the ability to view PnL in Quick Ruler/measure based on the number of contracts selected in chart trader

And please add option like we can change to ( hold right click to measure) it’s better than press mouse wheel to measure 🙏

There is a cool workaroud for this task, using drawing “Long Position” or “Short Position”. Place the drawing “ *** position” on your chart, and set following settings:

1. Volume: set “Risk” and set whatever risk you tolerate per trade, for example, 1% of your depo per trade.

2. Account: set either Current account if you want ATAS get it automatically from your broker or put the amount of your deposit manually, for example 10 000 $.

You are done. Now drag the stop-loss side of the position drawing to whatever your stop-loss you want it to be and AS YOU DRAG the stop-loss side of the “ *** position” drawing, in the middle table on the drawing it will show you (in “Long/Short Volume” number) how many contracts you can trade with this size of stop-loss and with given risk percentage of your deposit. I adore this ATAS feature!

Note, that if you want ATAS automatically get your account amount you should clearly connect it to the market via your current broker.

Also, it seems if you trade futures and want it automatically use your current account amount - it seems uses the amount AFTER margin is blocked (i.e. less then your full deposit amount). Just play around with it a bit.

I use manually entered amount, which I saved with “ *** position” drawing templates as I do not want it to decrease as account drawdowns, but you use it your way clearly.

I did not check whether it considers comissions set for futures in ATAS settings (should though) as for futures it is minor, but for stocks it may be a matter and if you trade stocks you may have to check this too.

It is a cool feature of ATAS, check it!

Now, to make even better solution would be not to get number of contracts from Chart Trader, but UPDATE Chart Trader’s Volume field with whatever number is calculated as you plan your trade with this “ *** position” drawing! Thus, you need not to calculate and put it manually to the Chart Trader Volume field, huh ?

Yes, I vote for this change too. This would be great to have!

Super important for the measurement tool (middle mouse) and measurement tool by hotkey! Nobody actually cares about the PnL/lot, but it’s always about the overall amount we’re risking.

Also:

• Please make the measurement tool more configurable. Everybody is interested in other statistics and it’s a visual struggle to find the data of interest, especially the more data is added to the measurement tool.

• Please let us measure quick with just pressing the right mouse button and drawing like it is in Quantower. Those who do measure, measure A LOT and want to measure fast. The middle mouse key is really bad for that as it’s hard to press the middle mouse without scrolling…
