Add possibility to select multiple objects at the same time by selecting area with mouse

If you want to delete 10 objects at the same time you need to click on each one of them. There should be an easier way to select the objects by holding the CTRL+left mouse button and drag the mouse across the chart. There is a hot key for "delete selected" but no easy way to select multiple objects at a time!
