As AI assistants (Claude, GPT, Copilot) become standard tools for traders, ATAS currently has no way to connect to them directly. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the emerging open standard for this — platforms like MetaTrader 5, QuantConnect, and TradingView already offer MCP servers.
ATAS has the best order flow engine on the market, but it's locked inside a desktop application.
A native MCP server (read-only MVP: cluster data, volume profile, DOM snapshots, indicator values, Smart Tape) would open ATAS to the entire AI ecosystem.
The technical lift is manageable: a read adapter over existing internal data structures, using the official MCP C# SDK (github.com/modelcontextprotocol/csharp-sdk). It could ship as an optional module within ATAS settings.
This would make ATAS the first professional order flow platform with AI-native integration — a significant competitive differentiator.
