Multiple Concurrent Sessions per License (e.g. for Automated Strategies / Multi-VPS Setup)

Currently, an ATAS license can only be used in one active session at a time. While this is sufficient for many users, there are scenarios where multiple concurrent sessions would be extremely valuable:

• Automated Strategies: Traders often want to run different bots/strategies in parallel on multiple VPS servers.

• Multi-Broker Setup: One trader may operate accounts at different brokers and needs to manage them simultaneously.

It’s important to emphasize: This request is not about multiple people sharing a single license. It is about allowing the same trader to use ATAS across multiple machines for legitimate professional purposes.

Possible Implementation Ideas / prevent abuse

1. IP-based Control

   • Allow concurrent sessions if they originate from known VPS IP addresses,

     VPS providers usually assign fixed and easily verifiable IPs.

   • Only allow one Session per IP address.
     

2. Dedicated “Automation Mode”

   • Introduce a special ATAS mode limited to automated strategy execution.

   • This mode would not provide full charting functionality but only strategy/engine access and a limited chart.

   • In this restricted mode, unlimited /many concurrent sessions could be allowed.
