Dear ATAS Team,
First, thank you for creating such a robust platform. The TPO charting feature in ATAS is one of the best in terms of visual clarity and usability. However, I would like to raise a feature request that would significantly improve the analytical depth for auction market practitioners.
While ATAS allows fixed-period splits (e.g. Daily, H1, H4) and manual splits via the “Split Profile” function, these splits are tied strictly to the profile’s base period. In practice, however, market behavior does not always respect fixed time intervals.
It is common for a single trading session (especially the prior day) to move through multiple auction phases—balance → imbalance → balance. In these cases, traders using Auction Market Theory need the ability to split a single-day TPO profile into multiple sub-profiles to analyze each behavioral phase individually. Unfortunately, ATAS currently does not support intra-day sub-splitting within a "Daily" TPO profile unless the entire base period is changed.
Please consider implementing a feature that allows:
Manual TPO sub-profile splits based on selected letters or time blocks, even within a single base period (e.g., Daily);
These splits should not require changing the base period to H1 or H2;
The ability to label or color each sub-profile to reflect phases such as "Opening Balance", "Trend Initiative", or "Late-Day Rebalance";
Ideally, splits should be saved with the workspace, like the current "Split Profile" function.
This functionality exists in other advanced TPO platforms like Sierra Chart or IRT, and would significantly improve ATAS's value to institutional-level and professional traders.
Market structure is not bound by time but by behavior. The ability to analyze these behavior-driven transitions within a single profile would:
Deepen the understanding of auction phases;
Sharpen trade context development;
Make ATAS a top-tier TPO platform for discretionary and hybrid order flow traders.
Thank you for your continuous development and support. This enhancement would make a meaningful difference in real-world analysis workflows.
Sincerely,
Smith_J
