Hi ATAS Team,
I’m a professional trader using ATAS extensively for my structural execution framework. I’d like to request a feature that would significantly improve execution flexibility: a static “Chase Order” type.
What I Need: A buy/sell limit order that trails price during validation or confirmation phase (manually or by trigger), then places a fixed offset limit order X ticks away from bid/ask — mimicking a market order but with predefined risk and better fill quality. Crucially, this offset should be fixed once triggered (not trailing like pullback orders).
Why Current Options Fall Short:
Market orders expose me to poor fills in thin zones.
Pullback orders are inverse and trailing — not appropriate for directional confirmations with structural timing.
I need the ability to place an order where my stop would have been had I entered at market, but do so pre-emptively at a defined offset.
Ideal Parameters:
Offset in ticks
Time-in-force / expiration
Optional confirmation trigger (optional for automation)
This addition would significantly improve control for high-frequency structural traders and would not interfere with existing order types.
