Hi ATAS team, Just a short “thank you” from one of those slightly old-school Windows users who have apparently helped fund the grand adventure of bringing ATAS to macOS
Over the past months (and in some cases more than a year), we’ve seen: Persistent bugs on Windows that keep coming back like old friends, Feature requests with dozens of users asking, discussing, upvoting,
Forum threads where the only real constant is… silence. And then, suddenly, it becomes quite clear where most of the energy has gone: big announcements, proud posts and marketing about the long-awaited Mac version.
That’s great for this new market, of course. It’s just a bit ironic for those who have been paying all this time for the Windows platform –
you know, the people who were actually using ATAS every day while the Mac version was still just a slide in a presentation. And with a bit of distance, the message we receive feels more like this: “Thank you to our Windows users who have supported us for years.
While we focus our efforts on the Mac version and on reaching new markets, we kindly ask for a little more patience regarding your bugs and feature requests: they are noted, somewhere on the list.” I’m not looking for explanations or promises. In the end, traders will simply stay where the platform, priorities and support actually match their needs. ATAS can decide whether it wants long-time Windows users to be part of that future – or whether it is comfortable with them quietly moving on to other solutions.
